Recently I have worked at Henderson Valley School developing a school wide blog community with an aim of increasing acheivement in writing. This project included working with teachers and students in classrooms as well as professional development outside the classroom. I managed the initial IT set up required using Google Apps for Education which can require a lot of hours and technical troubleshooting, something classroom teachers just dont have the time for. I also worked with students and teachers across the board, supporting the use of Ipad apps to motivate and scaffold learners during literacy.Once a project of this magnitude gains momentum, it needs additional support to be maintained and I believe it is most important to transfer skills and knowledge to teachers within the school, so eventually it can be run without that support.
